Dr. Daniel W. Baugh, Jr. serves as the pastor-teacher of The Lighthouse, a mission church
from First Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, Texas.
The Lighthouse is a congregation of house churches which focus on reaching the world by
practicing the disciple-making process commanded in our Lord’s Great
Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Dr.
Baugh has taught pastor and lay leader conferences on prayer and
disciple making in South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Romania, Kazakhstan,
India, Mexico, Guyana, Suriname, The Philippines, and Cambodia.
Dr.
Baugh has served in his churches as a pastor, deacon, prayer leader,
and teacher of both youth and adults. He is native of Clinton,
Mississippi, and is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a
B.S. in Chemistry and a Doctor of Philosophy in Inorganic Chemistry
from The University of Texas. He retired from The Dow Chemical Company
in 2000 with 27 years of service. There he served as the Global Leader
of Applied Statistics.
Dr. Baugh is married to Betty Germany and they
have a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Margaret Baugh of Lake
Jackson, Texas, and a daughter and son-in-law, Marty and Joe Lippeatt
of Houston, Texas. The Baughs have three precious grandchildren.
