Christian Business International - (Romanian Christian Business Development Project)

The Romanian Christian Business Development Project will conduct it's "Phase 2" conference in Constanta, Romania, the first week of October, 2010, when a team of five missionaries from Texas will travel from Houston to Bucharest, then to Constanta on the Black Sea Coast.  This trip has several objectives:

  1. to refine market research data supplied by potential business owner/operators and work with them to develop a three-year business plan.
  2. to reinforce and "flesh out" the "Kingdom Impact" idea that the potential business owners articulated in their market research project.
  3. to visit and encourage our existing business owner/operators, and
  4. to help several businesses refine or restructure their business plans to reflect the necessities of a very harsh business climate in Eastern Europe.

We are currently seeking additional team members to help train and encourage the next round of potential businesses, and in turn train them to reach farther into Romania and beyond.  Since it appears that our Lord may be expanding the horizons of our project beyond Romania, we have now designated our project as the "Christian Business International" project and team.   You can read more about this year's efforts and the ten businesses that submitted business plans on our web site, www.businessonmission.org.

Pray for wisdom and discernment as we seek His will for these areas. Also pray about how you can be involved in this exciting mission effort.  There are three ways in which a person can be involved:
1) Pray for courage and endurance as the new businesses are opposed by the enemy and at times by corrupt government officials. Pray for their faith to remain strong in a most difficult economic environment. Pray for God to change the hearts of Government leaders regarding extremely harsh tax burdens imposed on small business owners.  And pray for safety, health, and complete harmony among the mission team as we labor through long, difficult days and nights.
2) Give to support new businesses and/or to help with travel and conference expenses
3) Go to help teach basic Biblical principles of business and finance, and to help potential business owners develop viable business plans.
