Our Purpose

The Lighthouse is a congregation of House Churches that gathers together on Sunday morning and evening to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that we have a Biblical mandate “… for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12-13). Therefore, we have focused on Bible Teaching, Disciple Making, and Missions for
the purpose of growing disciples of Jesus Christ in order to prepare them to go into all the world to tell people of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Our mission begins here in the Brazosport Area and extends “to the uttermost part of the earth”.

Our Mission

As we are going, we will make Disciples of All Nations- Baptizing them in the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit- Teaching
them to observe all that God has commanded usWe Recognize that He is with us always by “Practicing His Presence” in Worship and Prayer.  “Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’” (Matt. 28:18-20)

Our Vision

The Lighthouse fellowship of believers glorifies God by:

  • Teaching and living the Word of God
  • Reaching and loving our neighborhoods
  • Encouraging and equipping our members
  • Being His witnesses both in Lake Jackson
    • and in Texas
    • and in North America
    • to the uttermost parts of the World

Our Strategy

Our strategy is threefold:1. Small group ministries: The church is organized into Sunday School classes and House Churches to evangelize the lost, equip the saved, and to provide fellowship opportunities to meet individual needs.2. Celebration Services: The Lighthouse meets as the gathered church on Sunday morning and evening to celebrate what the Lord has done and is doing in our lives. We are strengthened by the preaching and teaching of the Word of God. We reinforce our faith and express our praise to God through song and prayer. When we leave, we become the going church.3. Personal involvement in World and local missions: We are actively involved in missions projects to reach the lost and to grow and encourage the saved beginning here at home and going through doors that the Lord opens for us throughout the world.
